The Client

Grab a Snak is a marketplace for sellers to sell their products, specifically beverages and fun items, at different short-term homestays locations. The platform aims to make these items easily accessible to customers who are staying at these locations through services like Airbnb. The use of QR codes at each location allows for convenient and hassle-free purchasing for customers.

The Goal

The client had an idea and our team's task was to bring it to fruition. This involved developing and maintaining the marketplace app, implementing a QR code system for purchasing, and creating a smooth experience for customers. We also worked on creating features and tools for sellers to manage their listings, track sales, and communicate with customers.

The plan & process

Our team was responsible for turning the plan of Grab a Snak into a reality. As part of the team, my task was to develop the frontend of the marketplace app using the UI provided by the design team.

The technologies used in the application
For backend
  • MongoDB
  • ExpressJS
  • NodeJS
  • AWS
For frontend
  • ReactJS
  • Tailwind CSS
  • Typescript
  • React Charts
  • Phosphor Icons

During the development everything went smooth and because the application was straightforward, I was able to complete it in a very short time frame.

The Result

The team put in a lot of effort to create the final product. After a few revisions, it was ready for beta testing. I hope to see this application being used in the real world and benefiting both customers and sellers.
